[London] The obligatory "sounds like thunder" post ...

"That sounds like thunder."

There you go.

(And that was lightning, unless there's someone with a big strobe on the roof across the road.)

I was outside in it. Despite my large umbrella I was still soaked from head to toe from the upspray.

This was an unprecedented (and I mean that literally) amont of rain in such a short period, as areas in my garden that might on occasion have a puddle on them were huge great lakes. My drive and path were flooded!

It hit the office just as I finished my training session, and the thunder hit while I was talking to ManInBlack and TwoTroughs. I waited for it to abate a bit before I cycled home, and therefore am only moderately damp :)

We had three thunderstorms in the space of two hours today, accompanied by the sort of rain that inspires people to google "Ark Building Plans". Do hope your flat is unscathed!

Luckily, I was in the pub when I heard the thunder. I missed the downpour that came with it, though got a bit wet after an earlier shower.
