Well, that was another tiring weekend ... spent much of Saturday catching up with stuff, and missed [livejournal.com profile] meryc's birthday party, due to waiting for Marcus to make it down from York, delayed by snow. Drat. When he arrived, just had time for pizza1, and then into MineBringer for a slightly circuitous2 route to Rathaus, which was stonking. Really took me back to living in York and going clubbing at Le Phono, with glories like Beauty of Poisin, and even some Concrete Blonde. Spent less time on the dancefloor than usual, to the confusion of some, but did mingle ... and when it was all over, back into the car to provide lifts to [livejournal.com profile] flickgc and Chloe.

Much of Sunday was spent recovering from the previous night, despite not having danced enough, followed by assorted talking garbage, and then a lightning trip to IKEA before closing time to buy shelving and a lamp ... the shelving is now up, and housing the majority of my CDs, so if anyone ever wondered what five archive boxes of CDs look like on shelves, I've updated the Minas Landmine part of my fotopic pages (see previous post).

And today, work, college, and just finished scanning a film from the B-Movie "Livin' In The 80s" night ... highlights are here. Usual terms. I have a suspicion that there might be some more photos - but if so, I have no idea where I've put the film - more news when I find it ...

And in other news, Chloe lent me a copy of Meltdown magazine from Winter 2003 - which features an interview with Interlock, and, as an added bonus, had a small feature on The Calling, including a few words from a mysterious DJ known as [livejournal.com profile] zotz, and a photo of someone who looks strangely familiar ...

And yes, I did wear shorts on Saturday ...

1 Ordered large ones to have some left over for breakfast - and still finished them. Maybe I should have had lunch?
2 Yep, got lost(ish) again.
