My mum's just called to remind me to water the two flowering cherry saplings she planted in my garden last week (ok, she was also briefing me about the family gathering tomorrow, but ...)

Rar! The white weeping one is covered in blossom (the pink one is doing a good impersonation of a stick, but it flowers earlier, and still has one bit of blossom)! Looks very pretty, but slightly lonely and out-of-place at the moment. Still got to work out where the contorted hazel is going to go, though ...

OK, so I'm Death To Plants, but I can still appreciate them! [grin] Looking forward to the summer, when I won't have lectures, will be getting home in sunlight, and it will be warm enough to have the study door open (allowing for the attempts of the Cotton-Wool Cat to forage for food in my flat).
