Gig pimpage: Kitty Hudson are playing at the Cartoon in Croydon on Thursday night - I intend to make it along if leaving drinks don't take too long. They sound like a cross between the Wildhearts and the New York Dolls, according to some, and they rock.
Insurance companies: Send me a letter asking me to call them. I call them. They say "Disregard that letter. We've got the quote you posted and have forwarded it to the other party's insurers." How nice of them to acknowledge receipt - especially given that they obviously ignored the bits of my letter which said "not impressed by" and "lack of feedback".
Builders: Lost his diary, which had all of his job schedule, and all the specs for the jobs in it. Which means he's going to have to pop round on Monday to re-estimate for assorted plumbing, shelving, and so on, and then it will be another two and half weeks or so. Knickers. He'd also lost his mobile, so he couldn't contact his customers to tell them this. Good thing I called to confirm the date of the job.
