One of the bizarre things I used to regularly pick up when browsing the charity shops in Putney were old production music CDs. The best of these were by Atmosphere Music, Chappell Recorded Music Library and Bruton Music (now all part of BMGZomba), as well as the (currently separate) Carlin Production Music. Usually just three-minute cuts of atmospheric or trance tracks, or some rock themes, intended for use in producions, presentation, advertising and so on, and often with even shorter cuts. For example, I'm sure that the music used by TelePest on their ever-cycling "How to hard-reboot a set-top box" feature is on one of the Atmosphere Music collections I've got.

I like using them as mood music for gaming, or just as mellow background music when working, and I've got quite a few of them, ranging from suspense to industrial to ambient.

But anyway, the point is, should anyone see any of them going for about a quid each, please can you point me in their direction. Yep, I'm that sad. And I don't go near any charity shops in which they turn up any more.

Post delayed by having to marshall a fire drill.

It's so that I can crop and edit my photos from e.g. B-Movie and The Coven while not missing CSI at the same time through being in the study. Although, I suppose I could see whether my portable gets any reception in the study. Or even ransack one of my non-working towers which I think might have a TV card in it (that's the one earmarked to be the jukebox/media PC when/if I get it fixed).
Somehow, that's not quite enough reason to actually splash out on one, though, when I have other things higher up the shopping list (like de-denting my car and getting a decent graphics tablet, like what I have been wittering about for ages).
