I would like to recommend the Transcend JetFlash V30 4GB USB stick. Because it can apparently survive a 40° wash followed by a run through a tumble-dryer.

It's also rather bijou - small enough to fit into the watch-pocket of a pair of jeans. This may not be completely unconnected from the above paragraph ...
