I'm usually a lazy bugger and just post the image straight from the camera (allowing for a resize). But yes, I think I might start taking more care over the cropping and levels with them.
Fotopic only saves images as .jpg, so I upload them in that format so that they don't apply additional compression. I hope. The full ones are clear and correctly focussed (otherwise I tend to ditch them at that stage). I'll compare what I've got on my computer at home with the online versions, though.
I wouldn't describe myself as a master of the GIMP, though ...
