Today's poll ... when/if you are/were/would be getting naked with company, would you prefer to leave the lights on, or to turn them off? (Obviously referring to occasions when you have control over the lighting, such as bedrooms, rather than in, say, car parks ...) Poll answerers are hidden.

[Poll #1096541]

I note you left out "lights off -- to not see my partner".
Because if anyone has that opinion about their partner, I'd rather not know - it's just rude ...

lights on to avoid dangerous bashing of heads, tripping over stuff, failure to find things etc etc...

If one partner prefers lights off and the other prefers lights on then is it acceptable for one partner to be made to wear blinkers?
Wednesday, November 28th, 2007 01:09 pm (UTC)
I think you'll find there's already a concept for that - I believe it's called a blindfold ... [grin]

Ah... I did consider it but that doesn't quite work though because one partner wants the lights on and the other wants not be seen. So who would wear the blindfold. It doesn't quite work either way.

So, I guess blinkers so that the partner who wants the light on can't actually see the partner who wants not to be seen (but can see other things) is the optimal solution.

Ah, got confused. They'd have to be quite special blinkers ...

Maybe if you sleep with the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast? And wear a blindfold ...

More seriously, I'd say "go with your partner's preference". [grin]

Should your partner also go with their partner's preference because I think this might cause a race condition. It would be bad if your algorithm led to sex crashing. Though a bit of downtime and some rebooting might be no bad thing.

Maybe you should occasionally stop thinking about computers ... [grin]

I'm not thinking about computers, I'm thinking about downtime and rebooting.

And the fact that it'd keep you from the high-score table¹? [grin]

¹ Referencing a previous concept of yours ...

*laugh* I am so glad sex doesn't have a high-score table.

Although the ability to earn extra lives if you were good at it... that would be good.

Generally, if you're good, you get a free play later on...

...Nah, you get them if you're not careful - performance doesn't seem to be an issue, there...
