A few weeks ago in Bury St Edmunds, there was a squirrel that, notwithstanding its status as a rat with good PR, sat and posed for the camera. Like this.
It then bounded joyfully towards me, and sat a few feet away, posing again, while I refocussed. And then it did this as I pressed the shutter button.
Bah.

Apparently there's squirrels in Russell Square gardens who chase joggers. Well, one jogger in particular - apparently he's been feeding squirrels there for a decade, so whole generations have learned to pursue him around the park in hope of being fed.

i used to "have" a squirrel at secondary school. He used to lead me up the drive in the morning, see me at lunchtime, and walk me down the drive at the end of school. If i was late out he'd wait on the tree trunk bench till i came out.
Sweet.
Never fed him, he just used to do it!
i love the little tree rats, got 3 in my garden now!
