willmate's engagement party in July, I stepped out onto the pub's balcony and took a couple of shots of the Thames at dusk.

Possibly not my best 'river at dusk' shots, but OK for handheld, I think. Slightly noisy, as ISO was cranked all the way.

The bridge is definitely one of my favourite things about living in Hammersmith, along with the Thames itself.

I can't really see the noise in the scaled smugmug versions but would like to pimp greycstoration anyway. I use it on all my ISO 800/1600 shots and think it improves them quite a bit. It's a GIMP plugin and a CLI app, and is free.
