[Photos] Snow

I'm afraid that, like just about everyone else, I was taking photos of the snow last night and today. Sorry about that (the fact that I'm posting some more photos of the snow, which you're probably all sick of by now, rather than the fact of the snow, which I didn't have anything to do with).

There's something about the combination of snow, the lighting, and the shallow depth of focus of the lens gave a strangely model-like effect. I felt a bit like Gil Grissom.

I love the third one.

Cheers! Credit for that one should really be shared with the security light at the back of next door, which went off every five minutes or so, allowing me to investigate the effects.

As I've already said to others, holy crap that is a hell of a lot of snow. It even made it to the Greek news.

I for one will never get sick of snow photos, even if they do fill me with serious snow envy. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some snow here before the end of the month, though this week looks pretty much out (averaging 18C each day, boo). In the meantime, I'll just wish I was there (or here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/strangelover/2268983498/), which was taken this time last year).

I'm just watching that season now! *Is slightly creeped out* Have got as far as the comedy episode...

I also really like this one. The lighting really works, it looks very other-worldly. :-)

Ah ... "Hodges' Lucky Day"! Great episode.

I shall be posting my snow photos as soon as I can get round to uploading them. So probably some time in May.

Thanks!

That would be, "Lab Rats", thereby being doubly accurate and featuring a mini-pun.

Hodges is starting to grow on me, which is slightly worrying.

Heh. Took me considerably longer to post mine than many people! [grin]

Don't give away your secrets. ;o) I like this one, too, and the last one.
As usual, Cambridge only got a little bit of the weather (which is a good thing when talking floods or heavy storms) and there are only two inches max. However, it was enough to build a snowthing and when I started rolling up the snow it came cleanly off the grass like a carpet. (proof on my LJ)
And this was the view of my road last night.

The annoying thing was the wait for it to reset and light up again.

Me too, despite the fact that it clearly isn't a real place and is about 1/500 scale ;)

This is almost making me hanker for a LensBaby tilt/shift lens!

Blimey. I kind of want to play with one now :)

Aye. They can either be used to correct the plane of focus and perspective when taking architectural photos ... or to mess with peoples' heads.

You could borrow mine one day.
Love the photos.

The one near Warren Street tube with the sign saying "These are NOT grey imports"? Cool.

He was great in Veronica's Closet back in the day, so I always had a residual affection for him.
