I'm afraid that, like just about everyone else, I was taking photos of the snow last night and today. Sorry about that (the fact that I'm posting some more photos of the snow, which you're probably all sick of by now, rather than the fact of the snow, which I didn't have anything to do with).

There's something about the combination of snow, the lighting, and the shallow depth of focus of the lens gave a strangely model-like effect. I felt a bit like Gil Grissom.

Cheers! Credit for that one should really be shared with the security light at the back of next door, which went off every five minutes or so, allowing me to investigate the effects.

I also really like this one. The lighting really works, it looks very other-worldly. :-)

Don't give away your secrets. ;o) I like this one, too, and the last one.
As usual, Cambridge only got a little bit of the weather (which is a good thing when talking floods or heavy storms) and there are only two inches max. However, it was enough to build a snowthing and when I started rolling up the snow it came cleanly off the grass like a carpet. (proof on my LJ)
And this was the view of my road last night.

The annoying thing was the wait for it to reset and light up again.
