Well, that really made my night last night ...
Missed the first couple of minutes, and no blank tapes to hand, but watched the rest of it. I knew I liked it, but I'd forgotten how much. Definitely the equal of the first Tremors, and without Kevin Bacon (good or bad thing depending on taste1). Good characterisation, well-portrayed bitterness ([grin]), and some new threats. Oh, and some stonking quotes ...
1 Especially if you are the devil in God, The Devil, and Bob
2 Including, inter alia, Strange Days, The Princess Bride, Drive, Redline, and Death Machine. I would proabably come up with some more, given more time, and concerted effort, although I'd probably need to expand to a top 25 ...

Heather's not coming back. She called and asked me to send her the HK91.
Memo - 4lb of C4 may be a little excessive.
Some people say I'm over-prepared ... paranoid ... maybe a little crazy. But they've never met any pre-Cambrian lifeforms.Strangely, all the quotes are from the same character ... but this is definitely one that goes in my top 10 films list2.

Some years ago, I lived at `Minas Tirith' (10 Marlborough Grove, York) for a few months one summer. At about 11pm one evening, it was decided that since there was nothing worth watching on the tv, we should investigate the enormous stack of videotapes piled up on the sideboard.
``Oh brilliant! There's a copy of The Princess Bride here. We should watch that.'' I said.
My housemate Trix (a tall, tattooed, pierced and beclogged archaeologist) made some unconvinced sounds and asked what it was about. He wasn't particularly inspired by my description (``Erm... well, it's a sort of fairy-tale. But it's really funny. Erm... You have to watch it, really...'') but agreed to give it a go when his girlfriend Monica expressed curiosity.
Initially wary, he was laughing his head off by about ten minutes in, and during the end credits commended me wholeheartedly on my choice of film. I then bid him and Monica goodnight and wandered off to bed, it being about 1am by this point.
I got up the next morning, had some breakfast, pottered around the house, read a bit, and then started to make my lunch. Trix surfaced at about 1pm, staggering bleary-eyed into the kitchen.
``You're up a bit late today,'' I remarked.
``Erm... yeah,'' he replied, slightly sheepishly. ``I watched the film twice more after you'd gone to bed...''
