New year, new venue for Vagabonds in January - the Shooting Star in Middlesex Street, with a large bar-room upstairs and a dancefloor downstairs and a short walk from Liverpool Street Station. Guest DJs this time were Siren and Dr Garside.

The upstairs bar is pretty capacious and comfortable. The function room is down quite a steep and wide flight of stairs, and doesn't seem to have disabled access, but it does have its own bar. The edges of the dancefloor do merge into the bar area a bit, but it didn't seem to be a major problem, except possibly when Scott and I did a spin to NMA. There are speakers in the bar upstairs so that you can hear what's being played downstairs, although it's a bit steep to do a frantic dash ...
