Something has bitten me on the ankle. As in just above the ankle bone. Damn it itched this morning! Thank you, that's today's main whinge over.
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 12:31 pm (UTC)
I need to buy you anti itch Stuff. Yes. Then rub it on.

Mmmmm.
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 12:35 pm (UTC)
At least it's not under a plaster cast.. I had the itches this morning!
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 12:56 pm (UTC)
Oooh! That's really bad. Maybe someone should invent a kind of plaster cast which reduces the itching sensation beneath it?
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 12:36 pm (UTC)
Something or one?

You don't have neighbours that appear a touch anaemic do you? Like to keep the curtains closed, that kind of thing?
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 12:43 pm (UTC)
One of his neighbours is French and works in McDonalds. You can't tell me that's normal.
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 12:51 pm (UTC)
Sorry, you mean that it's normal for him to

- Be a neighbour of DancefloorLandmine
- Work in McDonalds
- or Be French?

:-b

She's the manager of the Burger King franchise at the local hospital (in itself a bizarre concept). My mother was rather disappointed when she found that out - I suspect it ruined her opinion of the French as being generally interested in cuisine.
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 01:11 pm (UTC)
Roi du Burger surely?

I suspect the hospital staff love it, plus it's very closely for the Crash team if necessary.

Sadly, but all accounts the French attitude to cuisine is declining a bit.

Actually, that would be me ... wonder if I've been snacking in my sleep? On my own ankle? Hmmm ... although I do like garlic as well. A lot.
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 01:12 pm (UTC)
Well, if you have Scottish or Irish roots I guess that would make you more of a Celtic bloodsucker.
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 01:42 pm (UTC)
Part Irish, actually ...
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 01:44 pm (UTC)
There you go, I believe they had their own form of blood-sucker (and no I don't mean midges)
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 01:46 pm (UTC)
Well, other than the English ... [grin]
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 01:51 pm (UTC)
Less parasites, more sucessfully farming the natives ;p
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 01:53 pm (UTC)
[grin] Actually, I believe that my Irish ancestry is more the protestant side, so we'd probably be those farmers ... Oops.
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 01:58 pm (UTC)
Surname wasn't Boycott was it?
If so you have etymological rights.
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 02:20 pm (UTC)
Ah, so they were THAT kind of farmer then.
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 02:22 pm (UTC)
That's my name, gerroff...

(though my roots on that side are from the Oban area of Scotland)
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 02:26 pm (UTC)
Hey, nowt wrong with the honourable profession of being reavers.... ;p
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 12:39 pm (UTC)
That's where fleas like to bite.

There's a battery-powered clicky thing yu can get that gets rid of itches without creams.
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 01:04 pm (UTC)
Yeah - I think [livejournal.com profile] wechsler has the piezo version - effectively a very small taser which stuns the area, as far as I recall.
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 01:10 pm (UTC)
I do like the icon.

Is thems yours?
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 01:41 pm (UTC)
Part of the prop collection. That one was just that I'd lobbed them down on to the sofabed and decided that they looked a bit like a cyberpunk game tableau.
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 01:43 pm (UTC)
Toys [drool]

Very nice, very nice indeed
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 01:47 pm (UTC)
Actually, the collection is slightly larger than that - here is another image, but I'll be creating some new iconage of the prop collection at some point.
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 01:52 pm (UTC)
Mmmmm, shiny.

Me likey, me likey lots.

Where's the sword from?
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 02:02 pm (UTC)
It was picked up in the army surplus shop in York - shiny, but soft metal and not so good close up.
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 02:21 pm (UTC)
Shame.

BTW - Army Surplus Shop? Whereabouts (please bear in mind the last time I was in Eofwick was about 10 years ago)
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 02:30 pm (UTC)
Opposite the Barbican petrol station, just by the bridge ...
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 02:35 pm (UTC)
You know, I think I vaguely know where you mean.
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 12:46 pm (UTC)
you could try my cure for itches... basicly loads of alcohol, taken internally.

no itch!!
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 01:02 pm (UTC)
[grin] Not sure how practical that one is for working (or even getting to work), given my minimal tolerance for alcohol ...
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 01:08 pm (UTC)
see this is the genius part of the plan... on a day like this you should take the alcohol somewhere in the sun sitting down, preferably somewhere green or beachy!! hehehehe
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 01:42 pm (UTC)
There are a lot of people enjoying the sun with their tins in the park outside the office. But then, most of them are there in the rain as well ...
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 01:09 pm (UTC)
Anthisan cream - from Boots. Works a treat at reducing insect bite swelling and itching.
Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 01:36 pm (UTC)
Cheers, dude!
