[Snork] Made my day ...

Grabbed wholesale from a post by [livejournal.com profile] sushidog, who in turn saw it mentioned elsewhere ...
Someone elsewhere online has just pointed out that Brad and Angelina's baby is going hate anyone she meets who is prone to spoonerisms. Because her name is Shiloh Pitt.
Man, they really didn't think that one through, huh?
I've just scared by colleagues with a loud outburst of laughter.

it was in the comments on metaquotes earlier today..and was more amusing than the original post!

Yeah, someone pointed that out to me a couple of weeks ago. Highly unfortunate. According to Wikipedia, the poor kid's full name is Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, but I doubt very much whether her classmates will pay much attention to that particular distinction (image of smug classmate adding "... and Interview with a Vampire and Tomb Raider 2 were rubbish!" to the obvious joke). I imagine that she'll change it to something much more sensible on her eighteenth birthday.

the full name is not much better... "oy, jolly pit..."

... though, luckily i don't think the americans use jolly in the sense "to get ones jollies" :)

The same interpretation of a "jolly pit" was going through my mind, too, I must admit ...

It was on a thread in [livejournal.com profile] mock_the, about a medical referral for "orbid mobesity".
