On behalf of [livejournal.com profile] randomling and this post, [livejournal.com profile] randomling has put together a poll on opinions of Torchwood, and is hoping for 1000 responses (currently at about 870).

If you want to kill some time and fill it out, oplease go here.

Gah - there's no 'I have a feeble brain and can't remember which episode was when or what it was about' option!
Tuesday, February 13th, 2007 03:22 pm (UTC)
I have to admit, I haven't attempted it yet .. [grin]

Nor is there a "I try to watch all new episodes of Who-related stuff, but I can't be arsed to obsess about it in a fan-like manner" option. So "other" it is.

Yep, there's a whole world of difference between watching Dr Who-related stuff and being a Dr Who fan - I know some and they are rather scary and, er, obviously single! ;-)

Does that mean I'm not a fan then? >:)

Do you always carry one of the books with you, possibly while listening to a different audio book at the same time?
Tuesday, February 13th, 2007 03:45 pm (UTC)
Nope. I do, however, have a copy of "The Ark In Space," signed by Tom Baker.

And those people aren't fans. They're people with obsessive disorders who should probably seek treatment.

There was a joke that unsigned copies of Tom Baker's autobiography are rarer than signed ones!
Tuesday, February 13th, 2007 04:07 pm (UTC)
The same has been said of PTerry's books ... [grin]
Tuesday, February 13th, 2007 04:09 pm (UTC)
Well yes, but you could probably say that of most autobiographies. People only really tend to buy them because they're interested in or like the author, and so want them signed.

I think that might go slightly beyond 'fan' [grin]. Also with eyes occupied by the book, and ears by the audio-book, they wouldn't get much opportunity to acquire a partner.

If she's looking for geeks, maybe poking it at [livejournal.com profile] muskrat_john would be an idea.

Episode synopses can be found here (http://www.uk.imdb.com/title/tt0485301/episodes#season-1)

If she's looking for geeks

... because there aren't any here. Oh no. [grin]

Damn right. Insult me like that again, and you'll have to roll against Agility to avoid my "Left Hook" ability.
