New Years Eve

Tickets are £6, we're at Canal 125 on Caledonian Road and the doors open at 8pm, running to 3am.

DJs include, in no particular order: DJ Spunky Lobster, DJ Ruth, Hamst0r, dBsurfeit, myself - and Sexbat and The Ingenue from the B-Movie Sound System.

March 17th, 2012 - a new era ... possibly ...

March 17th, 2012, the launch night of Shenanigans at Release, New Cross. A new alternative club night, featuring, among others, DJ Hitman (from Renegade Nation), Psyche (from Wrecked and the Betty Ford Clinic), HamstOr (from Inquisition and Divide By Zero) and DJ Soundwave (from Synergy). Oh, and me, from, erm, various places.
Doors are 10pm to 1am, the club runs until 3am, it's only £4 to get in (or £3 if you're NUS or NHS).
To quote those them there promoters ... "Transport connections are all over the area. Easiest route for you 'northerners' is out from London Bridge to New Cross/New Cross Gate (7 minute journey) or straight down the Overground. A night bus (N21) runs regularly back into The City from outside the venue."

Another night at the Shooting Star, for a combination celebration of Vagabonds 3rd birthday and Paul's somethingth birthday. And some rather fine guest DJs to keep Paul off the decks - Natasha Meltdown, Ben Wilson and Dr Joy.

[Photos] Reptile, 2011 02 12

It's been a while since I've been to Reptile (at Minories, near Tower Bridge), and by the time that we got there, the club was packed, possibly partly due to the arrival of those who'd been at the Chameleons' gig, including Mark Burgess himself. The combination of the crowds and the, as ever, challenging lighting levels meant that I went more for atmosphere (i.e. intentionally blurred) shots rather than particular people. I also took a couple of experimental shots using one of the recently acquired budget LED lightblocks from 7dayshop.com.

New year, new venue for Vagabonds in January - the Shooting Star in Middlesex Street, with a large bar-room upstairs and a dancefloor downstairs and a short walk from Liverpool Street Station. Guest DJs this time were Siren and Dr Garside.

The last Vagabonds to take place at the Barrowboy and Banker (at least until New Year's Eve), following a last-minute rescheduling from The Banker. Fewer photos than sometimes, as I was only there for part of the night, and the mister wasn't working properly, so not as many shots of the lasers.

June's Vagabonds club night was held at a new venue, The Banker, another Fullers' pub, next to Cannon Street, and another rather good location - especially, given the weather, with the large Thames-side terrace.
