[Poll] Lights on? Lights off?

Today's poll ... when/if you are/were/would be getting naked with company, would you prefer to leave the lights on, or to turn them off? (Obviously referring to occasions when you have control over the lighting, such as bedrooms, rather than in, say, car parks ...) Poll answerers are hidden.

[Poll #1096541]

If you've got anything to add (such as reasons why), please comment! Anon comments should be allowed.

I think it depends, really. It's nice to be able to see what who you're doing, but sometimes it's also good fun to work on nothing but feel... :)

Yes, this thing. Mostly I'm a lights-on girl, but sometimes it's good to have to feel your way :)

Definitely sufficient light to see what one is doing. But low-ish light is nicer than bright ceiling lights.

So you can get the name right? [grin]

I note you left out "lights off -- to not see my partner".

Anyway, "lights on to avoid dangerous bashing of heads, tripping over stuff, failure to find things etc etc...."

Definitely low lighting though because bright lights strain my eyes.

Sometimes sex in complete darkness is a turn on... but only once in a while.

True enough!

Because if anyone has that opinion about their partner, I'd rather not know - it's just rude ...

[snork]

Lights on... I like to see what I'm doing XD Not who... I always know who I'm doing <3

And, given that there'd be a fumble for condoms at some point anyways, saves momentary blindness and eye adjust time when teh lights go on to enable them to be found :D

Also, dude, my subconscious seems to know something I don't - in a dream a couple of nights ago, you came into a room where I was on the bed and you had this chocolate heart with a caramel centre and let it melt onto, er, various parts of me. Then you said you were off to the next room to do the same with Lisa and that you hoped James enjoyed chocolate-covered me. Thanks! I've been craving caramel chocolates since then. :)

Heh - way to go Dream Me! [grin]

I've been craving caramel chocolates since then. :)
And James has too? [grin]

[identity profile] misterfallen.livejournal.com 2007-11-28 12:36 pm (UTC)(link)
My mouth's usually rather too busy at that point to be able to form words...

Being incredibly short sighted one needs all the visual help one can get! ;-)

Partner's preference, generally, as I enjoy either.

[grin]

[identity profile] redshira.livejournal.com 2007-11-28 12:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, well done, Simon-of-my-subconscious! Ha, James has not been told about this dream. Though maybe if I tell him, he'll get me some chocolates...

Also: you know when you picked up a ticket for me for the NMA December Astoria gig? Have I been a dozy bint and misplaced the ticket or is it still with you?

[identity profile] d-floorlandmine.livejournal.com 2007-11-28 12:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Have I been a dozy bint and misplaced the ticket or is it still with you?
Not to worry - it's still with me - they only arrived in the last week or so ...

[identity profile] battlekitty.livejournal.com 2007-11-28 12:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't find the visual side of it important - I prefer to pay more attention to other senses, so light more of a distraction to me! That said - I leave it up to the other party.

When such am activity is actually part of my life, I tend to prefer very low lighting. Candles are good. :-) So, some light better than no light, but bright light BAD.

Although, that said, daylight and outdoors is a different matter entirely... ;-)

[identity profile] d-floorlandmine.livejournal.com 2007-11-28 12:58 pm (UTC)(link)

That might be an entirely different poll ... [grin]

[identity profile] redshira.livejournal.com 2007-11-28 12:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh good. I was worried because I have a tendency to lose Very Important Stuff until just after I need it...

[identity profile] lovelybug.livejournal.com 2007-11-28 01:04 pm (UTC)(link)
*grin* dark and marcus is often a good combo...

[identity profile] steer.livejournal.com 2007-11-28 01:06 pm (UTC)(link)
If one partner prefers lights off and the other prefers lights on then is it acceptable for one partner to be made to wear blinkers?

[identity profile] dragonzgrace.livejournal.com 2007-11-28 01:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Lights on, but thats just cos my video cam don't work well in the dark :D

[identity profile] gothicat.livejournal.com 2007-11-28 01:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Lights off as usually I'm on the bottom and I don't want to end up blinded. A lamp is okay, and daytime is better ;)

[identity profile] d-floorlandmine.livejournal.com 2007-11-28 01:08 pm (UTC)(link)
[grin] Guessing that's the K part of [livejournal.com profile] dragonzgrace?
