Apparently, when my hair is all big (following hair-drying courtesy of London Underground), I resemble the Cowardly Lion out of The Wizard of Oz. I'm now not talking to my colleagues. As the phones are currently down at work, I'm not talking to anyone.

People say that to all men with big hair :-(

A friend of mine who has hair similar to Simons got dragged up on stage as part of the Reduced Shakespeare Company show (the Complete Shakespeare).

They, being americans, made much of his hair being similar to that of (one of) Emerson, Lake or Palmer and didn't seem to realise that most people in the audience had no idea who they were talking about.

A gulf in cultural understanding of which I am glad ... [grin]
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 06:12 am (UTC)
Awwww!

You're MY lion! *kisses*
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 06:19 am (UTC)
It's ringletty at the ends as well ... [grin]

Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] redcountess also said "How tall are you? You're taller than I thought ...", which must just be a sentence that attracts itself to me ...
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 06:25 am (UTC)
*spangs ringlets*

I think people just don't expect someone your height to have so much bounce in them.
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 06:34 am (UTC)
[spang-g-g-g]

They're bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun!

[grin]
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 06:46 am (UTC)
That's a tiger not a lion... :-)
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 06:52 am (UTC)
That's a Tigger, which isn't quite like a tiger.
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 07:03 am (UTC)
"Whatever his weight in pounds shillings and ounces, he always looks bigger because of his bounces."
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 07:03 am (UTC)
[grin] Indeed.

Their legs are made out of rubber, and their tails are made out of springs ...

Hmm ... not sure about the tail bit, though ...

*splutters tea out of nose*
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 07:16 am (UTC)
[snork]
Thursday, October 14th, 2004 03:13 am (UTC)
Their bottoms are indeed "made out of springs", but the most important thing is that "their tops are made out of rubber".
Thursday, October 14th, 2004 03:54 am (UTC)
I don't think rubber tops would suit me ... [grin]
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 07:17 am (UTC)
That's THE Tigger, coz he's the only one! ;-)
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 07:40 am (UTC)
There's only one [livejournal.com profile] d_floorlandmine too. More would be just plain scary!
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 07:50 am (UTC)
More would be just plain scary!

Are you sure about that? [grin]
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 08:08 am (UTC)
Yes. You'd need a bigger bed, for starters.
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 09:07 am (UTC)
Hmmm. [grin] Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Sorry - mind's wandering again now ...
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 01:43 pm (UTC)
You're fantasising about a threesome with another copy of yourself? That's narcisism on a [livejournal.com profile] childeric level.
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 03:44 pm (UTC)
[grin] Maybe - but I wouldn't be thinking "I knew I looked like a rock god in that outfit!"
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 06:37 am (UTC)
*grins*

Yes, yes I think it does.
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 06:13 am (UTC)
aw but the cowardly lion is sweet!!

at least you aren't told on a regular basis by people on the street that you resemble kelly osbourne! the horror of it!
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 06:21 am (UTC)
[grin] I can see that some people might find that traumatic!
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 11:13 am (UTC)
Nah, Marc Bolan (um, before the car crash) :-)
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 03:46 pm (UTC)
before the car crash

Thanks for that addendum - looking like him now would probably be a Very Bad Thing.
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 04:10 pm (UTC)
But oh so goth ;-P
Thursday, October 14th, 2004 01:33 am (UTC)
That would be kind of like Uber Goth really.

I think I prefer Tigger.

*grins*
Thursday, October 14th, 2004 05:33 am (UTC)
Well he's certainly as cuddly as my Gund Classic Tigger ;-)
Thursday, October 14th, 2004 06:16 am (UTC)
I think that's a compliment ...
Thursday, October 14th, 2004 06:17 am (UTC)
Oh, it is, that Tigger is very soft and squishy and cheers me up :-)
Saturday, October 16th, 2004 03:21 am (UTC)
Aha!
Saturday, October 16th, 2004 03:42 am (UTC)
Awwwwwwwwwww!!! Want!
Oh that is so cute. He looks so warm and soft.
Saturday, October 16th, 2004 04:50 am (UTC)
Yes, he's made of chenille, as is the Eeyore I have (see pic), very good for bad pain days. They also have Piglet, Pooh, Kanga, Rabbit and Owl in the range, but the only other one I really want is Owl, as I like Owls :-)
Thursday, October 14th, 2004 04:35 pm (UTC)
