[Courage!] Apparently ...

Apparently, when my hair is all big (following hair-drying courtesy of London Underground), I resemble the Cowardly Lion out of The Wizard of Oz. I'm now not talking to my colleagues. As the phones are currently down at work, I'm not talking to anyone.

[identity profile] mooism.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
People say that to all men with big hair :-(

[identity profile] jfs.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 06:37 am (UTC)(link)
A friend of mine who has hair similar to Simons got dragged up on stage as part of the Reduced Shakespeare Company show (the Complete Shakespeare).

They, being americans, made much of his hair being similar to that of (one of) Emerson, Lake or Palmer and didn't seem to realise that most people in the audience had no idea who they were talking about.

A gulf in cultural understanding of which I am glad ... [grin]

[identity profile] valkyriekaren.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
Awwww!

You're MY lion! *kisses*

[identity profile] d-floorlandmine.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 06:19 am (UTC)(link)
It's ringletty at the ends as well ... [grin]

Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] redcountess also said "How tall are you? You're taller than I thought ...", which must just be a sentence that attracts itself to me ...

[identity profile] valkyriekaren.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 06:25 am (UTC)(link)
*spangs ringlets*

I think people just don't expect someone your height to have so much bounce in them.

[identity profile] d-floorlandmine.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 06:34 am (UTC)(link)
[spang-g-g-g]

They're bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun!

[grin]

[identity profile] steer.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 06:46 am (UTC)(link)
That's a tiger not a lion... :-)

[identity profile] valkyriekaren.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 06:52 am (UTC)(link)
That's a Tigger, which isn't quite like a tiger.

[identity profile] steer.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 07:03 am (UTC)(link)
"Whatever his weight in pounds shillings and ounces, he always looks bigger because of his bounces."

[identity profile] d-floorlandmine.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 07:03 am (UTC)(link)
[grin] Indeed.

Their legs are made out of rubber, and their tails are made out of springs ...

Hmm ... not sure about the tail bit, though ...

[identity profile] valkyriekaren.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 07:09 am (UTC)(link)
*splutters tea out of nose*

[identity profile] d-floorlandmine.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 07:16 am (UTC)(link)
[snork]

[identity profile] moral-vacuum.livejournal.com 2004-10-14 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
Their bottoms are indeed "made out of springs", but the most important thing is that "their tops are made out of rubber".

[identity profile] d-floorlandmine.livejournal.com 2004-10-14 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think rubber tops would suit me ... [grin]

[identity profile] wag-9393.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 07:17 am (UTC)(link)
That's THE Tigger, coz he's the only one! ;-)

[identity profile] valkyriekaren.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 07:40 am (UTC)(link)
There's only one [livejournal.com profile] d_floorlandmine too. More would be just plain scary!

[identity profile] d-floorlandmine.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 07:50 am (UTC)(link)
More would be just plain scary!

Are you sure about that? [grin]

[identity profile] valkyriekaren.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 08:08 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. You'd need a bigger bed, for starters.

[identity profile] d-floorlandmine.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 09:07 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmm. [grin] Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Sorry - mind's wandering again now ...

[identity profile] steer.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 01:43 pm (UTC)(link)
You're fantasising about a threesome with another copy of yourself? That's narcisism on a [livejournal.com profile] childeric level.

[identity profile] d-floorlandmine.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
[grin] Maybe - but I wouldn't be thinking "I knew I looked like a rock god in that outfit!"

[identity profile] cookwitch.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 06:37 am (UTC)(link)
*grins*

Yes, yes I think it does.

[identity profile] painted-bird.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 06:13 am (UTC)(link)
aw but the cowardly lion is sweet!!

at least you aren't told on a regular basis by people on the street that you resemble kelly osbourne! the horror of it!

[identity profile] d-floorlandmine.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 06:21 am (UTC)(link)
[grin] I can see that some people might find that traumatic!

[personal profile] redcountess 2004-10-13 11:13 am (UTC)(link)
Nah, Marc Bolan (um, before the car crash) :-)

[identity profile] d-floorlandmine.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 03:46 pm (UTC)(link)
before the car crash

Thanks for that addendum - looking like him now would probably be a Very Bad Thing.

[personal profile] redcountess 2004-10-13 04:10 pm (UTC)(link)
But oh so goth ;-P

[identity profile] cookwitch.livejournal.com 2004-10-14 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
That would be kind of like Uber Goth really.

I think I prefer Tigger.

*grins*

[personal profile] redcountess 2004-10-14 05:33 am (UTC)(link)
Well he's certainly as cuddly as my Gund Classic Tigger ;-)

[identity profile] d-floorlandmine.livejournal.com 2004-10-14 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
I think that's a compliment ...
redcountess: (Default)

[personal profile] redcountess 2004-10-14 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, it is, that Tigger is very soft and squishy and cheers me up :-)

[identity profile] cookwitch.livejournal.com 2004-10-16 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
Awwwwwwwwwww!!! Want!
Oh that is so cute. He looks so warm and soft.
redcountess: (eeyore day)

[personal profile] redcountess 2004-10-16 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, he's made of chenille, as is the Eeyore I have (see pic), very good for bad pain days. They also have Piglet, Pooh, Kanga, Rabbit and Owl in the range, but the only other one I really want is Owl, as I like Owls :-)

[identity profile] mundenlogic.livejournal.com 2004-10-14 04:35 pm (UTC)(link)
