Well, Driza-Bone coats are definitely worth the price ... got caught in the mother of all downpours last night, heading back from the station to my flat - it was as if I was walking through a very big power shower - set to "damn cold". My boots were soaked, my jeans were sodden up to the ankles, but everything between ankles and collar stayed completely dry. I think I'm going to have to get one of the hats. However, my local stockist has closed ... anyone know a Driza-Bone stockist in London?

And, in other news ... my hobbit-esque colleague, who has grown a beard to stop people comparing him to Elijah Wood (so he now looks like Elijah Wood with a beard) has revealed that he also shares a height (5'6") and a birthday with the star. I've suggested that he just needs some blue contacts, and he could go on a personal appearance spree ...

From today's METRO - Britain's youngest drink driver is identified as being a 12 year old girl who got pissed off with the family Christmas, and took her dad's semi-auto Corsa, while having a blood alcohol level of 65 (drink-drive limit being 35). Banged the car hard into several kerbs and so on, and was retrieved by the police. The sentence of a hearty slap shall be delivered unto her mother, who said:
"Now that we know what happened, it's not the law's business."
Wrong! Your daughter was a) pissed and b) in "control" of a lethal weapon. It is very much the law's business.

Another colleague came up with an alternative comparison for me in the throes of a "big hair day" ... not Miles Hunt, nor the Cowardly Lion. Nope, much worse. So bad, in fact, that I'm going to let you guess ...[Poll #422249]
